Do Not Drink Alcohol … Bet

[ English ]

If you like to indulge in an alcoholic beverage every now and then, leave your cash at home if you intend to do your drinking in a brick and mortar casino. I’m serious. Empty your billfold, your money belt, and keep all cash, credit cards and cheques at home. Take whatever money you are planning to spend on drinks, tips and whatever loose coins you intend to lose and leave the remainder behind.

Pessimistic? Not really. Realistic more like. You might well discover a win after a drunken evening out with your friends and be fortunate enough to hit a 25 minute roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hold on to that account because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and gamble. The two just don’t mix.

Keeping your money at home is a little drastic, however, preventative actions for drastic behavior is proportionate and required. If you play to succeed, then do not drink and bet. If you can afford to throw away your cash without a worry, then consume all the no cost alcohol your stomach can hold, but do not take bank cards and checks to throw into the mix of going after losses after your drunk as a skunk brain squanders all the cash!
